VKworld company managed to get quite some positive feedback about their previous rugged model Stone V3 so it’s only logical they are working on an evolution version, simply designated as Stone V3S.
This new version is once again aimed at those participating in the outdoor activities so some old school button rugged phone is just perfect for that. And because the VKworld V3S will be the first phone in the world with quadruple-protection it could also be an ideal phone for older people or children.
The IP67 certification means quite some high degree of protection against dust and water and the robust body is just sturdy and extremely hard to break or crack. Stone V3S is also resistant against the extreme temperatures and allegedly should normally work even with -50°C. The metal frame is made from a zinc alloy and should be really very tough and sturdy.
Gizchina News of the week
No on screen software keyboard for this phone either, just some nice old school physical keys, each coated with transparent resin for protection. VKworld V3S is going to be offered in four different colors, black, green, orange and blue. The projected price should be even lower than the original V3 and around $30 mark, so don’t expect anything even remotely hardware powerful for that. VKworld V3S should make an appearance in the start of October so more or less any day.
There is also a VKworld promotion giveaway happening right now with 5 winners being chosen daily up until October 10th. You can find all the details in this link.
I’m betting |( and hoping ) for a MT6261 SOC on this one. There’s some ongoing reverse engineering efforts going on around this chipset ( and its older brother, the MT6260 ).
Is it also bulletproof? No? Meh
