Pretty sure you all didn’t know that there is a new Meizu on the way, and low and behold it looks lie it’ll be an ‘S’ of some description.
Not so long ago Meizu released their top of the range, barrel topping, flagship phone, yup I’m talking about the Meizu Pro 6. But that is a few months old now, and to keep up with the competition Meizu need to be working on an updated, preferably one with an ‘S’ or ‘Plus’ in the name.
Meizu Pro 6S details
The Meizu Pro 6S is believed to be arriving on store shelves in November.
Unsurprisingly the ‘new’ phone looks a lot like the previous version but will feature some neat updates to keep its hardware inline with similar level phones.
The not so interesting details from the Meizu Pro 6S’ spec sheet are the FHD display and 4GB RAM, the interesting feature is the chipset. This next instalment in the Meizu story could have a 20nm Mediatek MT6796 SoC. The chipset is reported to be launching at the end of the year, so the Meizu leaks do seem to fit.
Gizchina News of the week
If the chipset is the only change then were not sure the new phone is worth waiting for when the current Meizu Pro 6 has very similar hardware, 5.2-inch AMOLED display and options for up to 128GB memory.
