After the success of UMi’s flagship phone, i.e. UMi Plus, the company is now going to launch a lower range phone which should surprise us for its high build quality and low price. Let’s have a look at the UMi Diamond specifications!
The smartphone comes with a glass back which combined with the front 5.0-inch HD screen coated in 2.5D arc glass give it a very redefined look. The glass features a Dual T2X-1 protection that will allow it to stay intact after accidental falls and scratches. The aluminum metal frame and dual curved edges are also claimed to improve the grip and feeling in hands.

Gizchina News of the week
The UMi Diamond will be powered by the MT6753 Octa-Core clocked at 1.5GHz, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (supports up to 128GB microSD). The main rear shooter has a resolution of 8MP while the front-facing camera is 2MP. The phone is powered by a 2650mAh battery and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
The device also supports 4G LTE including the B20 band, dual SIM and the micro SD slot is dedicated, so you can have 2 SIMs and 1 micro SD at the same time.
The UMi Diamond appears to be a good compromise for those who want a relatively powerful 5.0-inch device with a premium feeling and a low price. It will indeed cost $99.99 if you pre-order starting October 20th, after that it’ll go on sale for $119.99.
In more ways than one, the UMi Diamond looks like an upgrade over the UMi London which features a similar design, but a weaker SoC. You can read the UMi London review here.

How will it compare to other $120 phones like Mi4c or Nubia Z7 Max?

So far specs read okay, but the battery is horrible. The could have at least put in a 3200mAh one….
The specs are very old and the phone is expensive… It looks pretty, but no-go…
Useless brand.

Interesting smartphone. Now on preorders it isn’t ready to purchase. And then the price will be high. Probably, I will stop the choice on Uhans A101. It is average option between Diamond and london according to characteristics and the price. Or someone can will prompt an alternative for $60?
