After announcing the UMi Diamond a few weeks back, China’s UMi are back at it with another variant of the phone known as the UMi Diamond X.
The company are no exception to such naming convention. In the past, they’ve launched the UMi Rome which had a cheaper Rome X cousin as well. Following the same pattern, the Diamond X will be the younger (and lower-spec’d) cousin of the Diamond.
UMi Diamond X Specifications
The UMi Diamond X being the knocked-down version, will be powered by the MediaTek MT6737. Here are the full specifications:
- 5-inch 1280 x 720p display
- MediaTek MT6737 processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB ROM
- 8 mega-pixel rear camera (extrapolated to 13 mega-pixel )
- 2 mega-pixel front facing camera (extrapolated to 5 mega-pixel)
- 2650mAh battery
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- LTE support
The UMi Diamond X will sell for $79, $20 lower than the retail price of the UMi Diamond. UMi also confirm that the Diamond X will feature the same design (and T2X-1 glass) as the original UMi Diamond.
