The Snapdragon 821 is definitely the SoC of choice this season for makers of high-end phones for their respective flagships. After LeEco, Xiaomi and some others, China’s Vivo is all set to launch an SD821 phone of their own.
Known as the Vivo Xplay 6, the phone will launch later this month with 6GB of RAM giving the SD821 company. It’s going to be quite a multimedia-centric phone (as Vivo phones often are), and will include a quad HD display as well.

Other specs of this upcoming phone include 128GB of on-board storage, and a 4000mAh battery. That’s all we know about the hardware yet; on the software side, the Xplay 6 will boast Funtouch OS 3.0.
Another couple of phones Vivo’s expected to launch in the coming weeks are the Vivo X9 and the X9 Plus. The phones are interesting because they’re supposed to feature a dual-camera setup… on the front.
The setup will comprise of 20 mega-pixel + 8 mega-pixel sensors. The rear camera will be a rather plain (in context) 16 mega-pixel sensor.
Looks like Vivo doesn’t want to miss out on the e-commerce frenzy this season!
