We’ve already seen some features of the UMi Diamond in some articles already, such as the redefined look and shock resistance of the smartphone. In a video posted today, the Chinese manufacturer seems to be focusing more on the performance aspect of the UMi Diamond, which is something not always positive among smartphones below $100.
They show it in a video you can check here:
In the video we see what appears to be a fairly smooth user experience, switching between apps without hiccups and generally short app boot times. Multitasking shouldn’t be a problem as the phone comes with 3GB of RAM.
In intensive games the experience seems to be good as well, probably thanks to the MT6753 being clocked at its maximum frequency of 1.5Gh.
The UMi Diamond is also fast at taking multiple photos with no delays whatsoever, same goes for video recording.
Gizchina News of the week
Overall the phone appears to be a good all-rounder, it’s snappy and it looks nice thanks to the 2.5D glass coated display and dual T2X-1 glass protection, which also makes it survive accidental falls and scratches. All of this comes at a very entry-level price tag that makes it more interesting.
