Details of 3 upcoming Vivo phones have been revealed this morning read off the details here.
Vivo have a trio of phone updates on the way in the form of the new Vivo X9, X9 Plus and an updated Vivo Xplay 6.
We’ll start with the Xplay 6 as this is the phone we know least about, but have photos of (above). The new Vivo Xplay 6 will continue to use the curved display from the Samsung S7 and will also still use the Snapdragon 820, however there are a few physical and technological changes.
First of all the front of the phone now has a physical home button where the fingerprint scanner is located. On the rear where the fingerprint scanner was, a secondary rear camera has been added below the standard 16 mega-pixel sensor. Interesting stuff.
Gizchina News of the week
Moving on to the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus. We already know that the new phone will feature a familiar design and be the first Android smartphone to use dual front cameras (a main 20 mega-pixel sensor and secondary 8 mega-pixel), but we also know a lot more now too.
The X9 will be a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display with 3050mAh battery, 4GB RAM and 64GB memory. the main camera will be a 16 mega-pixel sensor and the phone will come with a single AK4376 HIFI audio chip.
The larger Vivo X9 Plus will boast a 5.88-inch FHD panel, 6GB RAM and a 4000mAh battery. HIFI audio will be made up of a 2 dedicated chipsets and there are rumours that the phone could boast a dual camera design to match the front dual camera.
All 3 phones should also feature Vivo’s latest version of Funtouch 3.0 at launch too. Official launch dates for the phones is the 16th of November.
That X9 Plus would have made a nice X-mas gift for The Wife. But those 4G bands displayed in the poster: not fully Euro-compatible. Pity.
