Elephone S7 tougher than it looks

Elephones S7 smartphone is a looker (we’ll give it that) but it’s also a pretty solid phone too!

Elephone has been making a lot of noise about the Elephone S7 and so far we have learnt the following about this handset. First of all the Elephone S7 will be one of the most affordable Helio X20 phones on the market, it’s also going go be an explosion proof phone (but then again it isn’t going to explode is it?), and it’s also a pretty decent looking phone too.

Elephone have taken a fair amount of time over the design of the S7, and even if you have less than stellar opinions about the brand it’s hard to knock the phone on looks alone.

But that’s not all! Apparently the Elephone S7 is also built of sterner stuff meaning that it can handle some pretty brutal punishment and still come back shining and ready for more.

The above video shows a ‘torture’ test of the phone where employees are given their opportunity to try and smash the Elephone S7.

This is not the best test, but i have had a few phones, which screens broke just when they fell on the ground from about half a meter height and shattered… So this is a decent build quality…..

I did not get the point of testing with a silicone case. It looks pretty odd and stupid.

  its not just a silicone case…. its a silicone bumper case. Its a shame for elephone to find sooooo cheap ways for advertisement , but also a bigger shame for the once trust worthy gizchina.

  I don’t agree. In many case you don’t have such protection in bundle, so i’m happy to see that a cheap 2$ Silicon case in bundle, may save ahestetics and life of your brand new S7.

I’m happy that Elephone include a good protection in bundle. In fact too many times, once you will receive a brand new phone, you risk to damage it every time you handle it.. And it’s the same for Iphone, Samsung S7 Huawei P9 and soOn, Naked devices are not robit enough to survive to daily use.

Uhm, sure, not the best test, but i mean at least it withstood this test… although they should definitely make a real test, maybe a few different tests would be better

In China they are used to doing these extreme tests, to the verge of madness ….
However it seems to have responded well, it haven’t never switched off!

this might seem funny but it shows the reality of nowadays… our smartphones are usually so fragile, they manage to shatter when falling out of our pockets even on the grass… on the other hand, playing football using a phone is not really a good way to try the toughness of the phone to be honest…

I still remember, when another company has set his phone in a saucepan with boiling water, and then pulled it out, or hammer it or try to punch holes with the drill. The video definitely effect, which remain impressed, but nothing more.
Just attend to smartphone’s forum to realize that users that falls on the phone from his pocket after can throw it.
Everything is based on luck, nothing more!

The back cover is important to prevent damage to the phone, but this smartphone I think it’s very resistant alone!

Guys, I do not agree in being told that these videos are not important.
We saw two people that kick a telephone and fall down from 2 meters, and this has not even scratched.
This can only mean one thing, that Elephone did a great job. When they merit, we must acknowledge!
