Earlier today, an analyst from the website iSuppli predicted in a Weibo post that Xiaomi’s next flagship, the Mi6, would launch in March of next year. He also predicts that Xiaomi’s latest and greatest will run the Snapdragon 835, though that’s a pretty safe bet.
If this turns out to be true, then this would make Xiaomi the first Chinese manufacturer to use the Snapdragon 835 in one of their devices, though this is pretty much tradition for Xiaomi. Looking back, the Xiaomi Mi5 was also one of the first phones with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, so it’s not hard to believe they can do it again.

What’s more surprising is that the analyst predicts that the Mi6 will be launched at around the same time as the Galaxy S8, which could mean Xiaomi has hopes to challenge the Korean juggernaut this time around.
Now of course, these are all just predictions. They should be taken with a grain of salt. Still, it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility for Xiaomi, especially now that they’ve begun releasing new devices at alarming rates.
When do you think the Mi6 will be launched? Do you agree with the iSuppli analyst, or do you have a completely different idea of when the device will launch? Tell us down in the comments section below.
