Meizu device (‘Meizu Four’?) leaked with a curved display

Meizu only recently launched its newest flagship, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus. It has pretty much the best hardware available at this point of time. But 2016 has been such that a QHD AMOLED display is no longer the best a company can offer. Edge-less and curved display on the other hand are going to define the “flagships” comming out in 2017, and the newest leak from Meizu only confirms that.

A Weibo user has leaked a few pictures of what could be the ‘Meizu Four’. the device has curved glass on all sides and a curved display. Like the Pro 6, this is said to come with a QHD AMOLED display (2560 x 1440) and the Exynos 8890 Processor. Other than the display the phone should be internally similar to the PRO 6.

Gizchina News of the week

With company officials confirming that they have no intentions of launching the PRO 7 any time soon, this device most probably will be part of the ‘6’ family of Meizu as a newer Exynos processor is also not yet available. So expect this device to launch in a few months… if at all.

This could just be a practice attempt, a safe way to test the manufacturing process and appeal to the public by making a varient of its succesful 6 series lineup. Overall, it does look like Meizu has joined the curved display bandwagon.

Probably just a practice run like the article mentioned.
