Lenovo announced today the K6 Note smartphone for the Indian market. However, unlike most of it’s mid-range phones, the K6 Note will be sold offline-only.
The Lenovo K6 Note will go on sale across 15,000 outlets across India starting the 17th of December. The phone, first announced at IFA 2016, will sell for 13,999 INR ($207) for the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM variant. There’s also a 4GB RAM/64GB ROM version that’ll go on sale, but pricing for this version hasn’t been announced as yet.
Gizchina News of the week
The Lenovo K6 Note comes with a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p display, a Snapdragon 430 SoC, a 16 mega-pixel rear, 8 mega-pixel front camera; 4000mAh battery and Android 6.0 installation (with Lenovo’s custom UI on top). The phone might not look like a very strong contender to the likes of the Redmi Note 3, but it’s the fact that it’ll be sold offline that makes the K6 Note something worth considering.
While it’s obvious one would go for the RN3 if there was a choice, offline-only buyers might have a better chance of getting the K6 Note home.
