With only one day left before launch, Lenovo bosses are teasing what to expect from their start-up’s new phone.
The much talked about and highly anticipated ZUK Edge will launch tomorrow, and as is often the case, a final little secret detail has just been announced to really build up the hype.
According to Lenovo bosses, the ZUK Edge will have the latest U-Touch button as part of its design. Previous U-Touch buttons were physical home buttons with gesture controls, but the Edge will have something new.
Gizchina News of the week
Apparently the ZUK Edge will receive a ‘Stealth’ home button, which sounds a lot like an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that is located below the the main glass panel of the phone.
Speaking of the glass on the ZUK Edge, Lenovo bosses have also confirmed that the display will boast a full ‘3D’ glass experience, rivalling that of the Huawei Honor Magic.
Keep an eye on tomorrow’s news for the final launch details!
Untrasound fingerprint scanners are too costly and power hungry.
The options are capacitive with thinned glass or ,soon, optical.
Also, the “under the glass” home button is less functional, with physical button they had all 3 Android buttons in one, the new one will miss the “press” event leaving only “tap” and “long-hold” events covered. But let’s see how they handled it. I like the single-button concept a lot.
