Oukitel released the Android Nougat update schedule

With just a few days remaining in 2016 it’s highly unlikely that most phone manufacturers can manage to release the Android 7.0 updates by the end of the year. But at least some of the smarter ones like Oukitel released a roadmap for the next year so the users can have some sort of an expected timeline for their phones to be updated.

So how is the Oukitel’s 2017 Nougat update roadmap in general ? Well according to the summary we can expect U7 Plus, U15 Pro, U15S, K6000 Pro, K10000 and C5 Pro models to be upgraded for sure and small question mark remains with the dual-camera U20 Plus model.

First Oukitel to receive the Android 7.0 will be most probably Oukitel U7 Plus and the update should be pushed through OTA roughly around the beginning of the Chinese Spring Festival so January 27th, And the last one should be the Oukitel K10000 somewhere in March. So the update window looks to be coming soon so let’s hope they can come through on the promise.

Older Oukitel models are also about to receive some modernization, especially the models with older Android 5.1 Lollipop. Just like Oukitel K6000 which will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in February 2017, as usual through the OTA channel.
