Continuing our review of the year we’ve put together this list of the top 10 Chinese smartphone reviews of 2016. Interestingly not a single Meizu review made it to our top 10!
10. Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime Review
Xiaomi did a great service to anyone purchasing this phone. The Redmi 4 Prime is a great all round phone with decent battery life!
9. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Review
Yash concluded that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was a good phone for none gamers and provided decent everyday performance.
8. 2K Elephone Vowney Review
After well over 12 months of waiting the Elephone Vowney finally landed in late 2015 and we managed to review the phone in early 2016. The 2K handset had a lot of promise but was a let down overall.
7. ZUK Z2 Pro Review
The ZUK Z2 Pro really took things to the next level for the Lenovo backed phone maker. The ZUK Z2 Pro came with a ton of flagship features and even managed to include a rear heart rate monitor. The phone is good, but ZUI is a bit of a mess however other ROMS are an option.
6. Nubia Z11 Mini Review
Nubia sent over the Z11 Mini for review and I really go along with the device from day one. The attractive all glass phone features a compact design, amazing rear camera and nice UI. My only issue was the lack of updates (perhaps I should recheck the phone now).
5. Xiaomi Note 4 Review
Gizchina News of the week
Xiaomi has did it again, creating a phone that will stand in a class of it’s own. Touching it, you would never guess it isn’t a flagship. Using it, you would never guess it doesn’t have anything but the best internals.
With very few weak points, this device presents the consumer with another option and a headache for competitors.
4. Ulefone Power Review
The Ulefone Power launched at the start of 2016 and boasted a large 6000mAh battery and optional wooden rear panel. The phone actually wasn’t all that bad, but better phones have launched since.
3. Lenovo Vibe X3 Camera Review
The Lenovo Vibe X3 was a great phone that I couldn’t wait to try. The handset launched in China and was later made available in India, and featured a 5.5-inch display, Dolby Atmos surround sound and a very capable camera.
2. Xiaomi Mi5 Review – Fast But Not Fantastic
I was excited to get my hands on the Xiaomi Mi5, and as soon as I left the launch in Barcelona this year I made sure I pestered my contacts to ensure I would get one as soon as possible.
What I found was the Xiaomi Mi5 was (and still is) one fast smartphone, and I’d go as far as saying that the camera on the Mi5 is still the fastest of any Android smartphone I have ever used.
1. Elephone P9000 Review
It’s hardly surprising that the Elephone P9000 review was one of the most read of the year. The phone was teased for months and there was a lot of expectation surrounding the handset, however it ended up being a bit of a dud.
