We already know that the upcoming Elephone Z1 model will be equipped with the new midrange or lower-mindrange chipset Helio P20. But Elephone are convinced this chipset will do wonders in the market thanks to the 16nm technology and overall characteristics. Why would they think that ?
Well Helio P20 is made using the 16nm transistor technology meaning the power efficiency should be on quite some reasonable level and we should see increase not just in sheer power, but also the battery life over the previous generation of Helio P10. Also the GPU should be way better, even though there are some concerns if the Mali-T880MP2@900Mhz isn’t a bit too overclocked for just dual-core performance. We shall see in some real world tests soon.
Gizchina News of the week
Nothing else is new on the Elephone Z1 front so the Helio P20, 6 GB RAM and USB Type-C phone is still partly a mystery. But i’m sure we will see more about it being released in the first days of 2017. Until that you can check the official website for the latest information and stuff.
P20 = Fail.
I doubt it will see the light of day.. remember elephone P20? or the P9000EDGE?
one more model that will fade in the darkness and will never see the light of the day ever again…. it is just pointless to hope this is going to be ever released lol
Perhaps this will be a better model than most of their models, seems like it is going to have really nice hardware specs
Looks like one of the best new chinese phone models of 2017! Hopefully we hear more news about Z1 in the near future as well!
P20 will be a good update of P10. Better power management, better quality of video /photo and affordable price. I hope to see competitive 200$ price for 6Gb ram and 64Gb storage Z1
Nothing new on this news, I hope that they’ll release it soon
A technical explanation that I don’t think interest to many. The phone seems good, but want to tell obligatory something, seems excessive to me …
I personally think this is their attempt to create another model like p9000, it even looks similar lol
The 16-nm technology is truly innovative. My compliments to elephone which began to understand it and to use it in its new products.
This model looks really nice, but will it really get released? I mean, there were a ton of other models announced, many of them never saw the light of day!!
6gb ram? really? five years ago most of personal computers didn’t have that much ram… it is fascinating how far the technology has come and it seems like this phone is going to have a few more aces up its sleeves considering the other specification too
I’m not so excited. Is yet another demonstration that Elephone always think to release new models.
