Asus announces their new Chromebook, the Flip 2


Asus may have plenty of big plans for their mobile division, but they’ve also got other markets to appeal to. Enter the Chromebook Flip 2, Asus’s latest and greatest in the Chromebook market. Though it may not be as appealing as its competitors, but more on that later.

The Chromebook Flip 2 is powered by Intel’s M3 processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The display is a 12.5-inch full HD unit, which should provide a decent viewing experience. It’s also a Flip device, which means the display can be flipped around to be used in tablet mode.

The bulkier original Chromebook Flip

The device does not have any USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports like its predecessor, opting for a two USB-C ports instead. Thankfully, there’s still a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Asus even managed to cram in an SD reader for good measure.
