It’s been 2 years since a new Find flagship launched, but finally we might see the Oppo Find 9 launch this year.
The last Oppo Find phone that launched was the Oppo Find 7, that was years ago! Ever since the Find 7, Oppo have moved away from ‘balls to the wall’ flagships and concentrated on design and camera hardware instead, but that’s not to say they have given up on creating an industry leading top of the range phone, in fact one might be coming soon than expected!
New rumours today state that 2018 is the year of the Oppo Find 9 and like in previous years there will be a Find 9 with all the bells and whistles and a Find 9 with slightly lower spec hardware, and what will those specs be?
Gizchina News of the week
Well like any good top of the range phone, the Oppo Find 9 is rumoured to get the latest Qualcomm processor which means a Snapdragon 835 chipset. This top flight model will also boast 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory.
The more affordable variant of the Oppo Find 9 will get a Snapdragon 635 with 4GB RAM and 64GB memory.
At this stage that’s about as much as we know about the hardware, but apparently the OS of the phone will be switched from ColorOS to an all new FindOS.
Pricing is expected to be as much as 3999 Yuan which is quite a lot for a flagship Chinese phone, leading us to believe it is going to boast a seriously good design and made to the highest standard.
Oppo has always been expensive. But build quality is also always top notch.
I was about to start missing the good old “oppo find 9 is going to launch fo’sure” rumors thrown on weibo with no evidence whatsoever… It’s been like a couple of months now, can’t wait for the next 6 months of “first sd835 device”, then “super cool sd835 device”, and the others 3-4 months of “it will launch… Eventually…”… Then a couple of months of cruel reality, and then start all over again…
It says 2018 in the article. Lol.
And again 6gb ram is not top flight. 8gb ram phones are already here.
Oppo’s have always been beautiful hardware. The performance is hit or miss though.
Will the SD835 processor be able to compete against Exynos 8895 though ?
If the Find 9 is as expensive as the Find 7, I won’t be buying one.
