2015 and 2016 saw lots of Chinese phone makers shipping uber large capacity battery phones. The trend seems to have died down a bit since, but Lenovo are certainly not giving it up so soon.
The Chinese company just announced the Lenovo P2 in India earlier today. The P2 is a rather interesting proposition; you can’t really call it mid-range or even high-end. Perhaps taking a look at the spec set will give you a better idea.

Gizchina News of the week
As you can see from the core of the phone (Snapdragon 625 + 3/4GB RAM), it isn’t designed for gaming heads. The USP of the Lenovo P2, clearly, is the humongous 5100mAh battery. Lenovo claims the P2 can last 3 days on a single charge — that’s some claim!
The P2 is priced at 16,999 INR ($249) and 17,999 INR ($263) for the 3GB and 4GB RAM versions respectively. Pro tip: get the 4GB RAM version if you’re planning to get the P2! It’ll be on sale via Flipkart (exclusive).
