As we have read in the past weeks, MGCOOL had spread some rumors about two new relatively cheap action cameras, the MGCOOOL Explorer and Explorer 1. This has been done to enlarge their market share and appeal more to people on a budget.
MGCOOL said that both cameras will be out on the market in the first quarter of 2017. Today, the MGCOOL Explorer has been officially launched and here are all its final specs.
The MGCOOL Explorer will be equipped with an Allwinner SoC, a Sony IMX179 image sensor and a 170-degree viewing angle. The camera will be able to shoot 4K resolution video, sports a 2-inch display on the back and will take microSD cards of up to 64GB.
Gizchina News of the week
The Explorer will be able to go 30 meters underwater, with the provided case I assume. other than that it’ll feature WiFi, 11 languages and a battery with a capacity of 1050mAh.
That’s nice and all, but what do we care if then it’ll cost to much? Well, although we aren’t aware of the price yet, MGCOOL say the Explorer will be a very budget-friendly action camera, making it one of the most cost-effective 4K cameras in the world.
If you’re looking for an action cam and you don’t necessarily want to spend a lot, then keep an eye out on the MGCOOL Explorer.
We’ll let you know about price when it’s available, in the meanwhile you can check or ask to MGCOOL themselves on their official website or Facebook page.
If the prize is good, I will buy one sure!
