MGCOOL Explorer 1S launched, yet another 4K action camera

MGCOOL Explorer 1S

Not that far back, MGCOOL — the recently born action camera and accessories company — announced two new cameras, the Explorer and Explorer 1S. The two shooters, which are supposed to capture the lower-end spectrum of the market (price wise), will still be equipped with powerful hardware able to record the best quality videos for your adventures.

Today, we get to know the final specifications of the MGCOOL Explorer 1S. The camera will be powered by a Novatek NT96660 processor combined with a Sony IMX078 image sensor, this couple will be able to capture 4K video at 24fps.

The Explorer 1S also allows the user to record video at four different view angles, they are 70°, 110°, 140°, 170°. We are not sure why they decided to add this feature but maybe somebody will find a use for it.

Other than that the Explorer 1S sports a 2.0-inch LCD screen, works with microSD cards of up to 64GB and it’s 30 meters waterproof (with the case, I assume). There’s also WiFi and the menu will have more than 10 languages.

MGCOOL are slowly adding interesting action cameras on their lineup —here’s the Explorer if you’ve missed that — and giving more choice to the customers, who will hopefully appreciate. There’s also the MGCOOL Explorer 2 still on the way but we’ll have to wait some more time to know its details.

I am a bit confused about this multiple choice of cameras. They are releasing three or two cameras?
