News just in this morning is that Xiaomi could be preparing 3 versions the upcoming Xiaomi Mi6 with the base version packing a Helio X30 chipset.
Reports just in are stating that there could be up to 3 variants of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi6 flagship smartphone to be released. Those versions will include a range topper with Snapdragon 835 processor but start with an entry version priced at 1999 Yuan with a Mediatek chipset!
Gizchina News of the week
Apparently all versions of the Xiaomi Mi6 will come with an OLED display however the panel on the flagship version will either be an edge-to-edge design of feature a true curve panel.
Pricing will kick off at 1999 Yuan for the Mediatek Helio X30 version of the flagship phone, with Snapdragon 836 Xiaomi Mi6 handsets being priced at 2499 Yuan and 2999 Yuan.
So, basically it’s coming 3 new models from xiaomi… And allof them will get their successors in few months… And that means that there will be 6 Xiaomi’s flagships, plus new devices in Redmi line, note line… Or in other words, we can expect about 15-20 new devices from Xiaomi this year.
That is just too much from company that does not care about quality control, after sale support and it’s no wonder that their sales is decreasing, since they are now just like Elephone, Dooge and similar companies whose main goal is to enter with a new phone every week, and don’t care what is happening with ones two months old.
Xiaomi was smart than that, two years ago…But the have changed tactics!?
But, ok…we have 1+ now.
Actually quality is OK & they are working more regarding software updates, working to secure a better after sale support on market’s they are officially present & creating better community support (Xiaomi forum’s) then last year not to mention cuple years back.
This is not 6 models, not even 3 but eventually two & even so MTK one is just speculation for now. It certainly won’t be a only “flagship” this year from Xiaomi and they will again have a two numbered amount of models but what a heck that is hardly surprising. Their sails didn’t decrease all do their didn’t reach projected margins of growth. As the chairman said they will try to capitalise on only cuple arias and slow down the growth rate & try to guess why. To fast expansion almost destroy Le Eco, ZTE doesn’t grow roses either. For me Xiaomi is one of the rare decent Chinese brands.
Good luck with Ule, Ele UMI & Doogee.
Agree 100%… the days of high figures annual expansion in the mobile sector are well passed. The only way for a company to expand further is to “steal” customers from others. And that can only be done with better service and/of offering something different. One thing Xiaomi does much different than others is the software support, any older device which has the tecnical capability to be updated, it will. ALL of them. The number of developers and the community supporting this model is enormous, going worldwide lately. Samsung (and any other big manufacturer) would only dream such a support by the customers. I also see that slowly Xiaomi is officially entering Europe at small markets such as Poland and Greece to just test the waters. Should they like the water’s temperature and start swimming in Europe, they’ll have a bright future.. And as Lazar wrote: “Good luck with Ule, Ele UMI & Doogee”. And to add on that: The only way to get a decent software update from them is to buy a new phone.
For me there is only 3 Chinese manufacturers from now on, and it’s One+, Lenovo and Huawei….
Acer, is trying something, but stil not there… And Xiaomi is option only if someone needs a phone up to 120-150$.
More than that, their phones doesn’t worth…
Usput, jesi vidio kada njihov forum sa svim onim preseravanjima, skupljanem bedzeva i poena… Tesko ispitanje mozga.
A pojavis se sa problemom, svi te napadnu da lazes i izmisljas… Pa kad im stavis video u kojem se vidi problem, onda te ignorisu ili izbace sa foruma.
Well for me their is only one currency & not a favourite one (Xiaomi) as the Meizu is down heavily complete last year & I even don’t know is Yiaju alive. Lenovo is gigant (with Motorola & Zuk) but I don’t like their pricing along with selective maintenance, Huawei certainly is a biggest brand but with outrageous prices (last cuple years). Acer isn’t Chinese & they never managed anything serious. Xiaomi is currently a best option regarding quality/price (at least regarding me).
Xiaomi has excellent quality control. I have multiple old models that are still working without problems and still get updates. Unlike Elephone and Doogee, Xiaomi supports their products for years.
I have and had multiple xiaomi phone that suddenly stopped to work, and some of them after only few months. I live in China, some of my friends, coworkers own or owned Xiaomi phones, most of them had problems. The only one I never had problems with, was my MI3. This one was excellent in almost all departments. My 1S just stopped to work after a year. My Mi2 battery life dropped to three hours, after about 9 months. Nice point was that the battery was removable, but still, it shouldn’t happen. The 2s got the usb port broken really fast, and is soldered, so it’s really not easy to replace. I don’t want even to talk in details about my redmi 2. I bought it, the camera was totally shitty. Totally blur. You couldn’t even recognize a person shot with it. I went back to the after sale service. Xiaomi answer : “That’s normal quality, it’s a cheap phone, you can’t expect an iphone quality”….. Mot*** fu***. There is a big gap between iphone quality and “useless camera”. I insisted, they took it in the back office, and took another hongmi2 and asked me to take a picture with the other one. Was the same. Thay told me : you see? it’s normal quality. I yelled at them and after some insults and threats they took my phone and sent it back to the factory for “investigation”. Meanwhile I checked on internet, legion of customers had the same issue. Eventually Xiaomi replied saying “the camera module was defectuous, it will be replaced”. They even didn’t changed my phone, but only the camera module… Nice shot, I was later unable to sell it to someone else since it has been opened, nobody wanted it. I jump over some other issues to land on my favorite shit : Mi 5. To save time: volume rocker broken, finger print scanner not working, touch screen issues, phone turns off constantly, reboot constantly, and each time, comes back to life with a different watch settings, so I need to wear a watch to keep track of time, can’t rely on that piece of … Xiaomi doesn’t care about after sale and doesn’t care about quality control. They control the first batch, they never do it again, even when they modify the production process.
Also major issue: they produce stuffs, sell them, and suddenly stop them. You don’t know why, they just withdraw them from the catalog and that’s it. I have their air purifier, and I fear to see them stopping the production, suddenly, that I will be unable to purchase new filters. and will need to buy another machine…. bravo.
I lived and worked in China for years, I had dozens of friends that owned Xiaomi’s all of them had no issues. There are millions of others happy customers as well that keep buying their products.
keep buying a product doesn’t mean there is no issues. Xbox 360 sold very nicely. There is legion of other examples. Plus, I live and work in China as well, since years. I have dozens of friends that owned and own Xiaomi devices, me included, and they most of them had issues. So…
And there are millions of Xiaomi consumers, me included, that never have any issues. So..
And there are millions of Xiaomi consumers, me included, that always had issues. So..
It seems that it has been a long time that you left China man. Obviously you aren’t really plugged to the reality here. Don’t be blind fanboy.
And there are tens of millions that still buy Xiaomi, I was last in China about three months ago.
There is still people buying anything in China, having problems or not. And you being in China doesn’t make you living in China nor knowing China, obviously. What’s your point, are you working for Xiaomi? It’s fucking known everywhere in China that Xiaomi has problems. And it’s not a secret that their quality dropped. They were the first brand in China, they are now far away. Why that dear fanboy, if they are so excellent and free from all problems? mmmh? Genius? I have spent long years in China, I am still in China, and I work in this industry. No dude on earth can come here saying Xiaomi has no problem with quality. especially since they released the mi4. Man, don’t be stupid. Some people also own a Galaxy Note 4, and have no problem with it, and are sad that Samsung disabled them OTA. Will you use this persons, happy with their Note 4 to pretend that Samsung Note 4 doesn’t have a problem? Samsung doesn’t have a problem? Come on. You can write all the bullshits you want, on this point you have to admit that you are wrong, it’s alright, you won’t die, and you won’t lose the respect from your friends.
I have nothing particularly against Xiaomi, I also own and like their devices, but hear that they have NO problems and MILLIONS have no problems… ahah… this is as ridiculous as flat earth believers.
1. My work in China has been in the Chinese phone industry, and no it hasn’t been with Xiaomi. In fact I worked for some of their competitors including ZTE, THL and Micromax (India). I know more about the Chinese phone market than most of the people that actually live in China.
2. Every brand has issues with quality for a number of people. It is the nature of electronics.
3. The only one writing bullshit is you. Xiaomi has a failure rate of around 11% in any given year. If you really worked you would know that. The industry average is around 15%. Samsung is usually around 30% because of how many phones they sell.
4. “I have nothing particular against Xiaomi” says the flat earth believer.
Mi2s was goog, i had one…
I still have 4 Xiaomi’s… Mi4i with so many problems that I don’t want even to start writing about it, then redmi 1s which works… All except GPS, and then Redmi Pro which is now about 3 months old, and have youtube burned in screen (quality of Xiaomi’s Amoled) and i have redmi 3s,now 2 months old and it is only one that i don’t have complaints on… Ok, i could go with a fact that it doesn’t have support for my language, but since i use English anyway, i am OK with it.
So, please, don’t write about Xiaomi’s quality control to me.
Mi4i was a disaster mostly due to Qualcomms terrible chips of that generation. But I also have a Redmi Pro and a Redmi 3s and both of them are still working. My grandmother actually uses the Redmi 3s, no screen burn in and she watches youtube everyday.
My Remi pro has screen burn, not 3s.
3s has LCD svmcreen, it can’t have burn in screen…
Redmi pro, however, uses cheqp Chinese Oled, and it is very bad.
Just Google little bit, and you’ll find a lot complaints.
You’ll find complaints with every phone from every company. Doesn’t matter if it’s Apple, Samsung or Xaiomi. More people complain on the internet than post positive comments. It’s the nature of electronic products.
