Honor 8 gets its Nougat update, starts today!

Just a week after the Android 7 Nougat update procedure began in Japan, we get reports today that the same Nougat update file for Honor 8 is being pushed to several other countries around the world as well.

Gizchina News of the week

The update includes – obviously- EMUI 5.0 interface, the same one we saw for the first time along with Huawei Mate 9, but be prepared: the update file size is approximately 2.27GB, meaning you will have to be patient while downloading it.

Huawei hasn’t released a relevant changelog for this update, so we will stick with the one Huawei Japan gave us. It mentions that aside from the usual Android 7.0 Nougat changes, the update contains some system optimizations, stability improvements and better app versatility.

How about you guys? Have you received the update, or are you still waiting for it?
