Long awaited Android Nougat update for Oukitel U7 Plus is already out in the open via OTA, but the company wants to point out the installation is not as simple as you would expect. Because it’s a cross-OS update and the amount of changes between Android 6.0 and Android 7.0 staggering it’s important to do a two step action.
Step 1 : Click the Wireless update to find the latest version of Android 6.0 update OUKITEL_U7_Plus_V20.0_20161220, then download and install it.
Step 2 : After installing the Marshmallow last update click the Wireless update again and the program will find the new version OUKITEL_U7_Plus_V0.9_20170112, which is finally the Nougat one. Before you start downloading it make sure you have at least 16 GB TF card inserted and set up as portable storage and the phone charged with 30 percent battery or more. The Nougat update is so massive it needs to use the extra TF card space for the installation. After the update finishes you can take the TF card out, but expect it can take even more than 1 hour to install the update successfully.
