We just got hold of a list of Xiaomi devices that are going to get Android 7.0 Nougat and the unlucky ones that won’t. If you own a Xiaomi smartphone, then keep reading!
Let’s begin with the flagship Mi lineup, all the latest devices are getting updated to Android Nougat, except the Mi3 and the original Mi Note. So we’re talking about: Mi4, Mi5, Mi5s, Mi5s Plus, Mi Note 2, Mi Max and Mi Mix.
As far as the Redmi series goes, they’ll all get updated starting from the Redmi 3S and upwards, those include the Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime, Redmi 4A, Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime.

Meanwhile, on the Redmi Note lineup, the Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4 will get Android Nougat, although it’s not specified if they’re talking about the MediaTek or Snapdragon version. But looking at how the MTK Redmi Note 3 has been treated up until now I think it’s safe to assume it will not get the latest build of Android.
If you prefer looking at a table instead of reading, then here’s it:

What do you guys think about Xiaomi’s plan? Should they have included more devices in your opinion? Let us know in the comments section below!
This is a Mediatek phone too. Xiaomi treated bad the mediatek phone from the past. But I suppose that’s also (or only) Mediatek’s fault. I hope it will get an update because its a very new and one of a kind phone.
Think X2x MTK’s should be getting it as we know MTK is still supporting that range of SoC’s, we only don’t know when as no closed beta emerged up until now for any based MTK model. Guess it’s MTK’s move.
Mi3 and Mi4 share same codename and firmware. How they will be separate on Android 7 updates?
