Crowdfunded projects are really a hit or miss. While many innovative and ground-breaking products have made it to the fore thanks to the concept, an increasing number of duds come out of it each month, too.
ZTE is somewhat on the borderline between the two with their upcoming ZTE Hawkeye. The phone looks like a fair deal for what it costs to backers — eye tracking, dual rear cameras and more for just $199.

It appears as though ZTE haven’t quite struck a chord with the backers yet, and thing may need some tinkering before they’re finalized. It’s also worth noting that the crowdfunding campaign has hardly had any success yet, with only about 10% of the goal reached.
Keeping in mind how Kickstarter works (the crowdfunding platform of choice for ZTE), the will likely not be able to change much besides a couple of things here and there.
Among the things expected to change is the SoC, which ZTE could change from the Snapdragon 625 to the newer, upcoming Snapdragon 835 for the ZTE Hawkeye.
