OPPO R9s now official Down Under with a $450 price tag

OPPO have made available their R9s smartphone in Australia. The phone, first announced late last year, will go for 600 AUD ($450) apiece and is already up for pre-order.

For those not in the loop, the R9s is a Snapdragon 625-powered smartphone (the same SoC as the new Redmi Note 4) aimed at the lifestyle market. It comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display, 16 mega-pixel cameras on the front and rear, and a 3010mAh non-removable battery. Besides that, there’s 64GB on-board storage and 4GB of RAM on the device.

The device will be available in two colours in Australia — Black and White. As noted by GSM Arena, there’s also a red colour variant of the phone available in certain markets, which however doesn’t make it to the Australian show.

Buyers in Australia can purchase the phone from JB Hi-Fi, Optus and Woolworths Mobile, Vodafone and Virgin Mobile.

Bit of a joke with that price point and a 625 in it. Pass!
