Here’s the Snapdragon SoC the Redmi Note 4X will have! (not the SD653)

It turns out that contrary to what we expected before, the Redmi Note 4X will not have the Snapdragon 653 SoC.

The phone, ready for a Valentine’s Day (i.e., 14th February) launch, was spotted at TENAA in China earlier today. The phone was spotted at the website not with the Snapdragon 653 SoC, but with the Snapdragon 625 — the same chip that powers the Indian version of the Redmi Note 4.

Gizchina News of the week

It is very much possible that Xiaomi announce the exact same phone in China as the Redmi Note 4X. There are a few other differences (mostly in the build) than the SoC when compared to the Chinese Redmi Note 4, which is more or less seen as the one superior. (ALSO SEE: Redmi Note 4 teardown)

How will the Chinese market react to this? Time will tell. In India, Xiaomi are making hay while making the sun shine — they sold a quarter of a million Redmi Note 4s in India in 10 minutes the other day.

Very bad decision, This is a downgrade/lower spec soc compare to SD653 , if Xiaomi continue like this then i will not buy Redmi note again, time to change to redmi pro products or even jump to other china brands that can provide better hardware specs with same pricing.
