Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom goes official in Taiwan, priced at 489$!


It seems that Asus has high hopes for their Zenfone 3 Zoom model given the fact that they have priced it really high, according to the first information from the Taiwanese market.

The device was announced a couple of weeks ago and this week you can find it available in the Taiwanese market for the price of 14,990 TWD – the equivalent of around $489 USD. We’re talking about a special “camera oriented” phone, equipped with a dual 12MPixel camera with 2.3x optical zoom, Dual Pixel autofocus, and 4K video recording.

The ZenFone 3 Zoom also packs a hefty 5000 mAh battery, along with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage. It boasts a 5.5 inch full HD AMOLED display, 8-Core Snapdragon 625 SoC and a 13MPixels selfie camera. It currently runs on Android 6.0 Marhsmallow but it will be updated to Nougat in the coming months.

We still have no info on when it will be available to other markets.

    LOL $489 for a smartphone with SD625 only.

    Asus is really greedy indeed. This smartphone is freakishly expensive !!!!
    I was wondering how Asus can sell their Zen product if their price is like that ?
