The Elephone Z1 is the smartphone that is currently getting crowdfunded over at Elephone’s official website. While we are getting somewhat close to the end of the campaign, it appears as the 6GB RAM-equipped phone is still getting launched no matter what.
The Elephone Z1 is the company’s attempt at creating a premium looking handset by using lumia-wave technique and In Molding Label technology (IML) to achieve a glossy and anti-scratch back cover.
The phone will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1.6mm super-slim bezel to cover up 82% of the front. It’ll be powered by an Helio P20 octa-core processor and the insane amount of 6GB of RAM, which is definitely more than you need. Well, if you want to run 40 apps at the same time then they might come in handy!

The internal storage is also above average at 64GB, the phone uses an USB type-C connector. Camera wise, we find a 13MP shooter on the back while the front-facing camera will have a resolution of 8.0MP. The phone packs a 3100mAh capacity battery.
Given the $189.99 price tag, the Elephone Z1 appears to be have an amazing price-to-performance, if anything just for the 6GB of RAM alone.
