Elephone has just released the kernel of the Elephone S7, the successful edge-less phone from the Chinese phone maker. Developers will now be able to customize it and improve if they so desire.
This is a very interesting move from Elephone, after announcing the plan of upgrading the S7 to Android 7.0 Nougat, they have now shared the phone’s firmware to the public, similarly to what they did with the P9000.
If you’re a developer (or you just want to play with it) you’ll find the kernel on GitHub over here. Sure enough, many users would like to enjoy a freshly cooked custom ROM!
