Xiaomi unveils Smart Sportswear with Intel Chips inside

Xiaomi keeps launching smart products all over the place and today is no different, since its own Mijia brand unveiled a trully innovative product named 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear (namely sports shoes).

This pair of smart running shoes comes with an Intel Curie chip inside that can store all the vital fitness data while you exercise, run, or even walk. The size of this chip is minimal (practically the size of a button) so it has no weight to impose on you.

This new “smart” sportswear was developed by the Chinese based company Shanghai Runmi Technology Co. Ltd and is aimed primarily at professional runners/athletes. The sole of the shoes has an arch design especially created to provide balance along with anti-skid features. It also offers full air cushion for each foot and an antibacterial replaceable insole.

Obviously the “smart” part of this sportswear by Xiaomi is located on the Intel Curie chip inside, that can safely detect your movement, running features along with the distance you have covered, speed and calories. It can also detect whether you run, walk or even climb and can stay up to 60 days before it will require to be recharged!

This new pair of smart sportswear comes in black and surf blue color options designed specifically for men and black and pink for women. There’s also a special “blue edition” that glows in the dark, created especially for those you prefer to workout/run during nights.

The Smart Sportswear is already available on Mi Home for 299 Yuan (~$46) so you can have a look if you’re interested.
