Yesterday was day 1 of the LG G6 official launch in their home country so LG had high hopes for it, no doubt about it. According to official reports they managed to sell more than 20.000 units during working hours, an impressive accomplishment according to LG officials.
After all we’re talking about a number that’s bigger than the one LG G5 achieved last year (15.000 units) and comes just a few days after the announcement that LG already has over 40.000 pre-orders for the device in Korea only.
Gizchina News of the week
Just to remind you what we talk about, the LG G6 comes with an impressive 5.7 inch display with a strange resolution 1440 x 2880 resolution (QHD+) and carries an 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 SoC and comes with IP68 certification that allows it to be water/dust resistant and thankfully – not modular like its predecessor. It’s priced at 780$ and packs last year’s SoC so some might say that it’s expensive.
What do you say? Have you bought it?
Pepole say, that G6 will be here (Europe) without bonus staff & wireless charging. And also it’s with Snap 821. I know, that this chip is powerful, probably enough, but next Snapdragon will be at lower nm process, and will have support for QC 4.0. And looks like G6 won’t be cheaper…
