Yes guys, we’re here once again to talk about Xiaomi Mi 6. It’s one of the most anticipated smartphones for us all (and you I bet) so every new bit of information we get has to be sent to you instantly don’t you think?
New rumors today reveal that the Mi 6 will probably come with a new improved Sony IMX400 sensor, a next-gen CMOS that usually Sony keeps for its own flagship models! If this is the case then it would be really surprising and it would mean that Xiaomi and Sony have made a multi-million dollar deal in order for this to happen.
Gizchina News of the week
According to the same rumors we also learn that the most awaited Chinese model will probably come in two variants with different display sizes: one with a 5.15-inch display and a larger one at 5.7-inches for those of you out there who prefer a larger viewing area. Apart from their display sizes, these two models will also have several differences in their design, with the larger model packing a dual camera setup on its back.
Nope, don’t leave we still have more rumors on the matter: the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to be really slim (8mm), packing a 3200 mAh battery inside. It will be available in 4GB RAM/32GB ROM option, and another 6GB RAM/64GB ROM model that will be called Mi 6 Plus. Both versions will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC and their price tags should be at ¥1999 (~$289) and ¥2499 (~$360) respectively.
If the prices really come out true (according to the rumors), then this will become my very first Xiaomi smartphone (referring to the 5.7″ model of course)
Damn now I can’t see smartphones, I only see tablets…
I miss the 4.5/5 inches
A borderless 5 inch smartphone, it would be a dream became truth!
SD 653
4.6 HD/fullHD
4gb ram
64gb
price: 200$-250$
Exactly my needs. I don’t want high end CPU and 6GB and 8GB RAM and 2K 4k screen… I jsut want a decent display and CPU with big storage and that’s it :<
Man, what’s the point to have a tablet in you poket??
Ok, it is true that smartphones are on it’s way to became the next computers, but damn, they should be portable, yet powerful and good enough to see some media content!
For me its like, having a 4.5/5 inches phone in my pocket and a 6.5/7 inch gadget at home, to see some movies and play some games!
It would really be enough!
No need to have a 6inc “smartphone” in your pocket, smartphones are no longer easy portable!
And they should still be!
6 inches was just a jest but the magic number , by all means is 5.5 to 5.7 and is starting to become a trend now.
it’s not about portability any longer , it’s about looks and aesthetics.
a 4.6 inch phone with SD 835 will never ‘feel’ as powerful as a 5.7′ device with the same SoC
majority of the market is going that way
People go for the more, and thats completely wrong
More pixels better camera, higher resolution screen better screen, higher number of cores meens more power, the more RAM the best…
Blablabla, that’s just all false, people in general need to get informed, when I go to the market I try to see the difference between two similar products and see which one is better, and I do it with everything!
I won’t buy some earphones because they aree pretty, I am not going to buy a TV just because it is huge!!!
I have to know what am I buying!!!
People in general don’t know, brands know it and they play with prices and make more and nore money.
That’s wrong but that’s our world now, people just don’t care about how they spend their money anymore….
higher no. of cores does mean more power ! (studying parallel processing atm)
but you might be right about other things … it’s just the market , bigger is the trend and people buy big devices (Mi Max at 6.44 wasn’t exactly a flop and upon it’s release , people are buying it in Pakistan too !)
Ohh the SnapDragon 820 is a quad-core processor and the Mediatek Helio X20 is a deca-core, even though it has 10 cores it is less powerfull…
So it kinda depends…
And I am not saying these “big” smartphones are important, they are, but please, don’t make them all this huge…
yes .. according to Amdahl’s and Gustafson’s laws , it proven bigger doesn’t ALWAYS mean its better … infact , a large part of it goes down to the program you’re trying to execute in parallel
but enough studies !
yes , marketeers should cater to everyone.
as is beautifully put
“to each their own”
