The rugged phone market is usually made up of low spec phones with tough screens and rubber bodies, but the AGM X1 is something a little different.
Chinese phone makers usually feel that they can take a step back in the hardware specifications when it comes to rugged phones as users are more interested in having a waterproof and shockproof features rather than the latest top end hardware, but AGM is taking a different approach.
The AGM X1 is the company’s second smartphone and will sit below the top of the range AGM X2 that will feature a powerful Snapdragon 835 chipset. The X1 will get a slightly downgraded Snapdragon 617 chipset, with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, so lower specs but hardly bottom of the range.
Other features which will really help the AGM X1 standout from the crowd is the dual 13 mega-pixel camera, large 5400mAh battery and AMOLED display.
