First one from the emerging new batch of the new Vernee models is almost here at least in the presale form with Vernee Apollo X and thanks to our cooperation with the Tomtop e-shop we have for you even an exclusive discount coupon. But first let’s take a look at the Apollo X.
Vernee Apollo X is not using the new Mediatek processors but going for the already tried and tested Helio X20 paired with solid amount of 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage. All metal build is a given and the 5,5-inch Sharp IGZO display with FullHD resolution is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Gizchina News of the week
Onboard will be also still fairly powerful 13 Mpix camera with Sony IMX258 sensor with dual ISP, dual tone flash, f/2.0 and PDAF support. Battery is no slouch either with 3500 mAh battery capacity and new Vcharge technology for faster charging with 18W (9V2A) charging power. New USB type-C connector for lossless digital music is also there while keeping the 3.5mm jack presence intact too. And it’s also the first phone sporting the new operating system VOS based on Android 6.0.
Presales are already up in here on the Tomtop website with estimated shipping date on April 19th. And with our exclusive coupon SDXAPOLLOX you can enjoy the $20 discount and get the phone for just $199.99.
Whats the difference between this and Apollo Lite?
Edit: Ok, I was just lazy. Different camera, more storage and maybe something else. Still not a reason to pay $40 more for it.
Plenty of reason, try a bigger battery and a newer revision of the Helio X20 without heating issues, and the camera especially.
This looks like a great phone for 200$
Agree with you full time. The Apollo lite is a much better bargain as by now it’s price has gown down significantly. Also, it has received an update to nougat sweetening the deal further. 4GB RAM, 32GB is pretty enough and if not you can always beef it up with a micro SD. As for the battery, every one learns to use what they get, 3000 is pretty good if you optimize the phone and use it well. Also the nougat update should increase the battery life. With all this in consideration, I don’t see the need of this X version.
