Xiaomi’s Mi Robot vacuum cleaner heads out of China to neighbouring Taiwan

At at international conferences — and even the Olympics — it’s really difficult to make out between China (PRC) and Taiwan (RoC). Anyway, let’s just say they’re neighbours… with a bit of a history between them.

But not all love’s lost. Xiaomi’s popular Mi Robot Vacuum cleaner is now heading to the neighbouring country of Taiwan. Why it’s news-worthy is because it’s the first time the Mi Robot Vacuum is leaving it’s home country.

Gizchina News of the week

GizChina’s Andi took the Mi Robot vacuum for a spin back in the day, and even called it the greatest bit of Chinese tech. While there’s going to be polarised opinion about that, it’s certainly something worth taking note of.

The Mi Robot Vacuum comes with some really neat features, and ideally looks to replace your human that cleans the house… pretty much.

The Mi Robot Vacuum for international buyers is available for around the $350 mark.
