MGCOOL have been pretty active this spring with the launch of three action cameras, the MGCOOL Explorer, Explorer 1S and Explorer ES. These cameras are all available now at Coolicool, but before you head over there you might want to know something about them; so here’s a quick a roundup!
The MGCOOL Explorer 1S comes with a Sony IMX078 sensor and four viewing angles, from 70° to 170°, which allows the user to choose how much they want to show in the video. It can record 4K videos at 24fps, 2K at 30fps and Full HD videos at 60fps. It can also snap photos at the maximum sensor resolution, that is 20MP.
MGCOOL’s Explorer features an Allwinner V3 SoC, 16MP Sony CMOS sensor and can record 4K videos at 15fps, 1080p videos at 60fps or slowmo 720p videos at 120fps (using H.264). The action camera can be controlled via WiFi up to 10 meters and when put inside its waterproof case it’s able to go as deep as 30 meters underwater without damage. It supports microSD cards up to 64GB.
Gizchina News of the week
The MGCOOL Explorer ES is the cheapest of the bunch, it comes with a 2-inch display, Allwinner V3 CPU, H.264 video compression and expansion up to 64GB. The camera packs a 1050mAh battery for about 80 minutes of video recording and can be charged in two hours using the included 5V/1A power adapter. The Explorer ES also features a wide 170-degree lens to capture as much panorama as possible.
The weather is getting warmer and you might get engaged in some outdoor activities, so a cheap action cam might come in handy. Which one would you get, though? Drop a comment to let us now.

Will you do a review of three models?
I am sure people will choose the camera that suits their need the best and if mgcool cameras can’t fulfil those needs, there is a huge variety of other companies which produce similar cameras!
Explorer 1S definitely looks like the leader from the trio of the cameras, it has the best features and still retains that affordable price tag
Is the explorer es waterproof itself or does it need any special case?
Or you can just read for once.
