It’s not often that we get super clear video leak like this and this one of the LeEco X920 is soooo good!
It’s no secret that LeEco is struggling. The company has over invested and they are struggling to keep its various operations afloat, but if that wasn’t had enough, they’re also struggling to keep their latest smartphones underwraps too.
Here at GizChina we’re no strangers of leaked photos, specs, etc, but it’s quite rare that a leaked hands on video of a smartphone manages to make its way to the media before the phone even goes on sale!
This is exactly what’s happened here with the LeEco X920 which has been leaked in spectacular style.
Gizchina News of the week
Now the uploader of the video claims that the LeEco X920 is a dual camera phone, and that’s the only problem we have with the video as the handset seems to have just a single camera but additional sensors for laser focus etc.
According the the leak the LeEco X920 as a 6.3-inch quadHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. This large alloy phone follows previous large screen LeEco phones with a rear fingerprint scanner rather than having one on the chin of the phone.
Hardware details continue with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory, 22.5 megapixel camera, 8 megapixel front camera, dual SIM support and a 3700mAh battery (which we think is on the small side for such a large phone).
See what you think of the LeEco X920 in the video below.

Although struggling, Motorola, HTC and LeEco insist on their “genius” idea of removing 3.5mm headphone jack. I find that similar to sawing the branch under oneself. Also, the color selection and design elements (Black borders and that scared-face camera module) of LeEco leave a lot to be desired.
You forgot that Apple is within the ranks of the companies that dropped the 3.5mm headphone jack. For a normal user, I don’t really miss the 3.5mm jack. I use a Bluetooth earpiece instead.
I didn’t forget about Apple. I’ve mentioned that they are struggling to become profitable, while Apple is one of the most profitable companies in the world. Apple can afford such a brave move, others don’t.
Other than LeEco running into cashflow issues, Motorola and HTC are both profitable. I wouldn’t call the move a brave one but it is inevitable. As devices evolve, the 3.5mm jack will go into history.
HTC may be profitable only thanks to Vive VR headset. Anyway, it’s profits are far from great and are only degrading.
Motorola wasn’t profitable before it was bought by google, after that and now it’s not profitable either (under Lenovo).
Removing something is not a valuable evolution.
Kudos to top players – samsung, huawei, vivo and oppo for keeping the 3.5 mm jack option.
6.3″ on a 3.7k battery? Instant no. Le Pro3 is far more balanced phone. They should stick to it’s formula.
Unfortunately companies like LeEco and HTC dont like to put big batteries or microSD card in some of their phones in order to milk more money from them.
It’s about thinness. But Le pro 3 (and that ai edition) has 4k mah, as does Leeco cool1 and Leeco cool changer s1
Now if they can just put a bigger battery I’m their 5.8 inch plus phones…
No it is all about making more money. LeEco will be bankrupt soon they aren’t updating their phones to even Android 7
Lol ok. Prove it. The only fact you said is that they have financial issues (not sure if they still do)
LeEco business model is based on the fact you buy into their tv services in China. That is great deal in China but not for people living outside. LeEco has two divisions. one media one cellphone/car one. The cellphone and car one is having serious financial crisis at the moment and if you dont believe me read caixin.
We already agreed there were financial issues. You didnt prove your conspiracy theory that they are using smaller batteries to “rip people off”.
yea because they sell other phones at expensive price. If you see le max 2 and compare it with le pro 3 then u will see the difference in specs is not much sd820 vs sd821 similar ram and memory but the screen also gets downgraded to 1080p in le pro3 from 2k in le max 2.
… you are comparing two phones that are one generation apart. Compare le max 2 to le pro 2, not 3.
not a huge difference between sd820 and sd821.
Right. We know this. But when new generation phones come, they are more pricey at first. Then they drop a little. Then next generation comes and the price of the older generation drops further. And the cycle continues.
This is true for every cellphone company I can think of
… the reason they can make so good phones at such prices is BECAUSE of their TV streaming service subscription (among other things), so they can sell the phones at a loss or razor thin margains.
Tell me one Leeco phone which is a bad deal. Hell on kimovil.com Leeco Le Pro 3 is rated no1 in user satisfaction, based on on surveys by more than 14000 responders
Lol, even I like my LeEco Max 2. But there problem is that there is no Android 7 , there is no multi window so I can’t take advantage of this huge screen. Plus the battery is way too small and lack of Android 7 energy savings makes it more problematic.
That’s literally one of the most delusional comments I read there. You think their business model will fail simply because they don’t update to an Android version (which the vast majority of consumers don’t care about.
I’m done with you
Even worse and yes I know for which phone you’re talking about. 😉 Who said the S8’s battery is good? No, battery wise S7 Edge is the best from their Sx line.
