Seems like that the successful Chuwi’s lineup of laptop Lapbooks will get an another member by the end of the month. To the already existing 15.6 and 14.1 models will be added the new smaller Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 with a better screen and even more RAM. And both things are pretty much a welcome sight for us !
Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 will be using the 12.3-inch screen with the 3:2 aspect ratio and 2736 x 1824 pixel resolution, once again using the exact display from Microsoft Surface models and this time it’s the Surface Pro 4. The laptop will keep the high-quality plastic build of the predecessor and most of the hardware too, but with one significant upgrade.
Gizchina News of the week
Capacity of RAM will rise to 6 GB to match up some similar models of the competing brands, while the processor stays the same with the Intel Celeron N3450 from the Apollo Lake platform. Potential disappointment with 64 GB of eMMC storage on board is quickly dispelled by the existence of free M.2 2242 slot for easy installation of your SSD disk to boost the performance majorly. Just like the previous one it will have dualband AC WiFi, at least one USB 3.0 port (possibly another 2.0 one) and miniHDMI out.
As mentioned right at the start the new laptop should be out by the end of April with an unknown price tag attached to it, but my guess would be roughly about the $330 mark. It could easily become one of the great choices for a smaller form powerful laptop for very reasonable money.
