After unveiling a new action camera and a mirror less camera, Xiaomi has rolled out a new device under the Mijia sub-brand, a 360° water and dust resistant sport camera.
Design
From what the pictures show, the camera is quite pleasing to the eye, having a square shaped body with two fish eye lens popping from either sides of the device. It weighs a 108g and has dimensions of 78×67.4×24 mm. The Mija camera is IP67 water and dust resistant, providing protection against more than the regular wear and tear.

The camera has two 16MP fish eye lenses, coupled with an Ambarella A12 image signal processor which results in stills at 7K(6912 x 3456), and videos at a resolution of 2456 x 1728 at 30fps. The camera can also shoot 60fps video at a resolution of 2304 x 1152. Xiaomi claims that their a 6-axis EIS (electronic image stabilisation) system will allow shooting smooth content in extreme sport conditions.
Connectivity
The device has the usual suite of connectivity options that include 2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. It has a micro SD card slot which is expandable up to 128GB. It is powered by a 1600mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims, will allow you to shoot for about 75 minutes. It comes with the standard micro USB port for charging and data transfer.
Price
The camera retails at ¥1,699($250) in the Chinese markets. If you wish to buy it outside Chinese markets right now, it may cost you more than the final retail price. Watch out for more!
