We’ve been expecting Nokia’s first flagship for quite sometime now and rumors today are heading that way. For the moment the Finnish company has unveiled its mid-range smartphones – with impressive sales to be honest- but so far they have no direct competitor against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6, and HTC U Ultra.
Gizchina News of the week
According to a new report however this is going to change with the introduction of Nokia 9, the first Android flagship of Nokia and HMD Global, scheduled to be unveiled sometime during this summer, probably at the end of July or early August. This means that it will be launched globally by the end of Q3 a time that seems to close to the unveiling of the iPhone 8 by Apple. The reason for this late launch is due to Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 supply issues, that have plagued most manufacturers – all but Samsung of course.
The same reports claim that Nokia 9 will be launched simultaneously all over the world but prices will be different across markets. For example the device is expected to cost approximately 699$ in the US and India (Rs 44,999), but it will be sold for 739€ in Europe and other similar regions.
699$=739€ ? Great logic Nokia I’ll make sure to not support you ever again.
Are they going to be premium? In what sense? Nokia is not a hype anymore. Wake up and smell the defeat
