New rugged AGM A1Q with 4050 mAh battery coming soon

There are some new AGM models coming to us in the near future and of course all of them will be rugged ones as is the company standard. For starters there is talk about the AGM X1 Mini version coming, but not much is known about i. But today we have another fish to fry, the new affordable piece AGM A1Q.

Gizchina News of the week

There is only one leaked picture for the phone so far, the one you can see in the above, and it just falls into the general AGM’s style and concept, so no big surprise there. From the specs we only know that the phone will have 4050 mAh battery, 13 Mpix rear camera, IP68 certification and will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat on board. That sounds pretty much alike the AGM A8 model so we have to wait a bit more for the real differences with AGM A1Q.

Speaking about AGM A8 there is still running promo event for this phone. Until April 19th you can with a $20 discount off the retail price, so just $129.99 in this Aliexpress store.

Got the AGM x1. As often with chinese phones, the hardware is good, but the software, while not disastrous, lacks finish. It’s supposed to receive nougat update next month … wether it really comes or not, and wether it’s better finished than the current 5.0 rom will change a lot wether I would recommend the brand or not.

I’ll keep an eye on your updates about it… the X1 is a bit large for me, but still an option.

As far as I can tell, EVERY rugged phone will be almost as big. But at least the X1 gives you a 5.5 inch screen for that bulkiness. Most phones I compared it to turned out to be almost as big, but with 5″ screens.

Well, 163 mm tall is quite a lot, the Blackview BV7000 Pro’s display is half an inch smaller but is ‘only’ 153 mm. I’d rather go 5″, that extra bulk doesn’t compensate (for me!).

But, although disappointing, I think I’ll wait for the Bluboo R1 review (my main concern here is software), the BIG battery and wireless charging are something new and useful.

Ho yeah, without a doubt. Not the same price though.
Also, I agree with you, I can’t see what the 2nd camera does at all. Not that the camera is bad, but I think it only ever use the top one.

I see Blackivew new rugged smartphone BV8000 Pro has battery capacity 4000 mAh and 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM, also the newest Android 7.0.

It considered it, but it wasn’t anounced when I bought my X1. From what I can see right now, the BV8000 cons and pro are …

+ Better CPU, more ram, though tbh I think more than 4GO ram is useless for android.
+ Android 7.0, but I’m pretty sure the 7.0 update is coming soon for the X1. It has been confirmed on XDA by an AGM employee.

      But also …
      – Not released yet.
      – Price unknown
      – Body dimension unknown. The BV7000 pro has the same body size as the X1, except than the screen is 0.5 inch smaller. I think it will be the same with the BV8000 pro.
      – no gyroscope.

So all in one it seems that the phone is not much better than the X1 (Better CPU, but smaller screen for the same body size.) While it’s efective availability and price are still unknown.

Just a little bit redesigned a8. Huge borders around the screen makes impossible to use it with one hand
