With some steam out the way, let’s now have a closer look at the Xiaomi Mi 6 full specifications sheet, with a special attention at the supported 4G LTE bands, Xiaomi’s Achilles’ heel.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 features a 5.15-inch Full HD display with a brightness of 600nit and 94.4% NTSC color garmut. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 clocked at 2.45Ghz with an Adreno 540 GPU at 653Mhz and 6GB LPDDR4x 1866MHz dual-channel RAM. Internal storage varies from 64GB to 128GB (UFS) depending on the model you get .
Xiaomi’s Mi 6 comes with two 12MP cameras on the back, the main (wide angle ) one sports 4-axis OIS and f/1.8 aperture, while the secondary 12MP shooter features f/2.6 aperture and 2X optical zoom. The handset can record 4K videos at 30fps, and slow motion 720p videos at 120fps
On the front we have an 8MP camera with beautify, facial recognition and magic mirror functions.
Let’s now get to the reason you’re probably here: what are the supported 4G LTE bands? And here they are:
- FDD-LTE (bands Bl, B3, B5, B7, B8)
- TD-LTE (bands B38, B39, B40, B41)
Other bands include:
- TD-SCDMA (bands B34, B39)
- WCDMA (bands B1, B2, B5, B8)
- GSM (band B2, B3, B5, B8)
- CDMA1X / EVDO? (Band BC0)
So, just like always, there’s no Band 20 / 800mhz, slightly disappointing!

What do you guys think? Are you guys disappointed by the lack of band 20? Let us know in the comments below.
Maybe india version ?
who expects a chinese brand to have all bands for each country that they dont sell in? why pay like millions extra for all phones if most never use it
band20 doesnt matter
the disappointment is the pixel size of 1,25um not 1,55 or even more
however wide-angle and normal lens setup is perfect!
Yes shitty pixel size for the price
If you are expecting a dual camera setup like LG flagships brace yourself. What Xiaomi calls wide angle camera is normal main camera (27mm). That setup exactly like iPhone 7 Plus. Secondary camera is tele photo (52mm) and has 1 micron pixels, has not OIS and its aperture is f/2.6.
27mm camera hardware on the paper as good as iPhone 7 camera, but Xiaomi is notorious with underdelivered camera performance. Pixel size not big as Mi5s or Google Pixel, but OIS and larger aperture can compansate it, but if its software optimized for shorter exposure times like Mi5, OIS is can’t reduce the noise levels at auto mode. It’s possible to getting better results at manuel mode with longer exposures though.
If I didn’t miss it, there is no EIS, that probably means bad stabilization at videos. EIS is better than OIS at this job.
Zoom camera going to much worse. Unless you are using a tripod and strong lighting image quality probably will be way worse than even Mi5.
As a photographer I’ll tell you that 27mm IS a wide angle
That’s what I need, two fast lenses on one device
OIS can compensate the pixel size, but only a litte – with blurred moving objects and less dynamic range 🙁
Zoom camera will be quite suitable for portraits during the daytime, so, no problem in this
Every main smartphone camera out there is wide angle. Main camera of S7 is 26mm, and iPhone 7 has 29mm for example. Wide angle secondary camera of LG G5 is 12mm for example.
You just schooled him. Well played.
doesn’t matter to you, i care more to have 4G than wanna be a photographer…with a…phone.
If you need to do photos you can buy a camera, but you can do nothing to get 4G signal if your area has 800MHz.
