It seems that the end of the 3.5mm audio jack is near, with another upcoming flagship model (HTC U 11) presumably choosing USB Type-C technology in order to connect headphones.
News comes from the well-acclaimed leakster LlabTooFeR, who tweeted recently that the HTC U will not feature a headphone jack, but instead, HTC will include a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter for all those of us who prefer to use our own headphones. If this is the case, then the HTC U 11 will be one of the first models to offer an adapter, given the fact that most previous phones from HTC either didn’t have or didn’t offer one for free.
