China’s Meizu have announced their M5 smartphone for the Indian market. The phone was announced earlier today.
Meizu is still enjoying a rather small pie in the market share in the Indian market, which is currently in the midst of a war between a bunch of Chinese phonemakers including Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, and more.
Coming back to Meizu, the M5 is announced at 10,499 INR or roughly $160. This puts the phone in the price range currently dominated by the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Coolpad Cool1, etc.
The M5 comes with a MediaTek MT6750 SoC, and along with that features 2/3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of ROM and a camera combo of a 13 mega-pixel rear sensor paired with an 8 mega-pixel front-facing shooter. The phone comes with a 3070mAh battery.
This Android Marshmallow powered phone also features the customary Meizu mTouch, which Meizu claims allows the phone to be unlocked in just 0.2 seconds.
