Well this is good news for all those of you OnePlus 5 fans out there, as you’ll find out. It seems that the upcoming flagship killer of the Chinese company found its way to the AnTuTu Benchmark site and did some runs proving that it’s powerful as hell!
The OnePlus 5 scored over 176.000 points, proving that its average score is – for now – better than the one both Galaxy S8 and Xiaomi Mi 6 scored during their tests! The benchmark listing however comes to confirm most of our speculations during the past few weeks, regarding the technical specifications of the device.
Gizchina News of the week
According to the image above, the upcoming model has a model number of A5000, it comes with a 5,5 inch full HD display, Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It has 64GB of storage (but it will also be available with 128GB), runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat thankfully and packs a 3600 mAh battery with fast charging support.
Despite the AnTuTu listing, the OnePlus 5 is expected to come with a dual camera setup (16MP) along with a 16MP selfie shooter placed in front.
those prices were unrealistic in the long term. Especially if you want software and hardware support.
MIUI was the best of the best support while Xiaomi flagships like Mi2 were mind blowing and cost 300 bucks
what was wrong?
The only problem is, that the majority of consumers are easily manipulated by huge marketing spending while product could be average and expensive
Otherwise the competition would eliminate those stupid prices of 500+ dollars
That is not true even they hardly ever update their sea of devices to newer android version. and if their devices were really that great why are they getting their asses kicked in their home country of china? And support outside of china is nonexistent. Mostly because they dont want to pay for the patents they are using in their devices.
I am speaking about 2012-2014, when Xiaomi was 3rd in China
But even now, when there are problems with software, the reason is not it
That’s because OPPO, Vivo etc have an enormous network of offline stores, where they get all these sales
Unfortunately, Xiaomi also wants to follow that strategy, which will mean higher cost
Of course, outside of China there is no official support, as they dont sell in these countries
However, here in Russia we have perfect community that adapts and supports local MIUI versions
2012 mi2 has lollipop: its updates lasted for almost 4 years and even now it continues getting newest MIUI. Unlike Nexus 6, for example, which was kicked by Google to the end of support.
Mi5 received official 7.0 earlier than S7 and many more…
What am I doing wrong? Intentionally owning Xiaomi with good support?
The problem is that now sales do not depend on product, they depend on marketing. period.
Now you are just lying the mi 2 was never officially updated to lollipop. They released a developer preview of it but they never updated the phone for normal consumers. And sorry beta software doesnt count as an official release. Neither does community developed software. Don’t believe me just try to find a mi2 that was updated OTA on the net.
I cannot check what you claim, and feel lazy installing latest stable on my mi2, but MIUI version is 8.1.3.0 which means that freaking 2012 mi2 is still supported
Ok even if it is on 4.4 (which is strange, because weekly has lollipop already many years), what is the difference? Normally weekly MIUI is perfectly stable except for first weeks after android/miui update which is not the case of Mi2
The fact is that Xiaomi gave official lollipop to Mi2, and it doesnt matter what update cycle the firmware has, weekly or monthly
Android Authority is reporting a possible price of $650 for the 5. I appreciate that it’ll be more expensive than the 3T, but that’s a hell of a hike. http://www.androidauthority.com/dual-camera-oneplus-5-prototype-772550/
I wanted 8GB + FHD, but now I continue with OP3T.
