Xiaomi has announced its grand plans to expand in India, and now it’s bearing fruit. Meet Xiaomi’s latest launch in India, the Mi Router 3C. Not only is it the first router they’ve brought to India, it’s also the first networking device they’ve brought in as well.
The Mi Router 3C is a 2×2 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n router with a combined up/down transfer speed of 300Mbps. It has 16MB flash storage for firmware updates and 64MB DDR2 memory, which Xiaomi claims is 8x what most budget routers have.

Aside from that, it uses a four copper+PCB antenna system. On the back are 2x 10/100Mbps LAN ports and 1x 10/100Mbps WAN port. It has 80m range and supports 64 connected devices, which is quite good compared to similarly priced routers.
The Mi Router 3C will be available on the 23rd of May at the price of INR 1,199, which is roughly $19. The device be purchased through Mi.com, Amazon India and Xiaomi’s new Mi Home retail store. Whether it’ll succeed in India remains to be seen, though we’re willing to bet it’ll do decently well.
