With almost 10 months having passed after the launch of its predecessor (Redmi 3S Prime), the time has come for Xiaomi Redmi 4 to hit Indian market officially!
The device comes as a subtle upgrade over the previous model, basically being slimmer, with softer edges and a cleaner design. Inside the two models are also – more or less – the same. The Redmi 4 packs a 5.0-inch 720p LCD, comes with a 13 megapixel f2.0 camera on the back with PDAF, a 5 megapixel f2.2 camera on the front and a 4100 mAh battery.

The improvement lies on the processor, with the Redmi 4 packing a Snapdragon 435 SoC with 2/3/4GB RAM and 16/32/64GB ROM variants. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, sprinkled with the latest MIUI 8 interface and its priced at INR 6,999 (109$), 8,999 (140$) and 10,999 for the 2/16GB, 3/32GB, and 4/64GB variants, respectively.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be available from Mi.com and Amazon India starting from May 23.
