Xiaomi Mi 6 proves to be almost waterproof in recent tear-down video

OK, we already know that the new Xiaomi Mi 6 model is splash resistant according to the Chinese company but what exactly is happening inside it? Well the notorious JerryRigEverything managed to get rid of the back glass of the device and had a closer look on the inside of the phone and shared his findings in the following video.

According to his findings, the device is almost 90% water proof, with its SIM slot, mic and speakers having rubber seals that prevent water from entering and only the USB Type-C port is open to the possibility of having water entering from there. Don’t know about you, but I would be very careful with this beauty of a phone, especially now that summer is just around the corner.

It was shown to break after a few minutes in water. It may be splash proof, but is not submersible.
