OnePlus Hints At OnePlus 5 Colours

OnePlus has hit up its social media with a new Tweet hinting at the colour options the new OnePlus 5 will be available in.

The official Twitter channel for OnePlus has recently been updated with an obvious hint at what colours the company will offer the OnePlus 5 in. The tweet spells the word ‘Should’ with a number 5 rather than an S and shows 4 colour options.

From what the tweet shows us OnePlus will offer the OnePlus 5 in a Soft Gold, Gunmetal Silver and Black, the same colours the OnePlus 3T was available in but in addition, the smartphone will also get a red option and what appears to be a holographic rainbow finish.

This final colour option might hint at the OnePlus getting a glossy glass body rather than a metal chassis as current leaks have suggested, it could also be possible that a ceramic case might come as standard on certain variants of the flagship phone.

According to various sources, the OnePlus 5 will feature an AMOLED 5.5-inch display, FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution, with 401ppi. Processing power will come courtesy of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset running at 2.4Ghz with 6GB RAM on tap.

The latest flagship will also come with dual 16 megapixel main cameras, OnePlus’ DASH charge feature and Oxygen OS based on Android 7.1.1. A release date hasn’t been announced yet, but sometime in summer has been hinted.
